Turning Ambition Into Action: The Life Goal That Changed Everything.

Here is my life story in a few words.

Growing up, I was shaped by a deep sense of determination, passion, and personal growth. My mother, a hospital nurse, and my engineer father, who maintained a disciplined household, instilled in me the value of hard work and service from an early age. I developed meticulous habits, such as making my bed each morning, practicing penmanship, and maintaining good posture while doing homework. Do I regret those? No.

The Seed of Ambition: Early Influences and Childhood Dreams.

I thrived in an atmosphere filled with compassion and dedication. Being taught resilience and the value of empathy. These experiences instilled a sense of ambition, leading me to dream big. I envisioned a future where I could positively impact and communicate. My childhood was colored by observations of my parents’ daily challenges. I recognized that success takes hard work, patience and understanding. These formative experiences led me to pursue a career in business development, not merely as a job choice, but as a natural progression of my desire to help others succeed.

A Promise of Growth.

Throughout my student life I chose Classical and English Philology for my passion. I used to teach at the primary school and kindergartens. I was always fascinated by early education as a process and approach. It allowed me to gather a practical knowledge, experience and money for furthering my personal education. During that period I also discovered my entrepreneurship. Working for insurance companies like Norwich Union or Warta, I managed to understand the significance of marketing. I was able to build my first relationships with customers.

Transitioning Passion into a Career Path: Stability and Regularity.

That was pretty helpful in my first regular job I dreamt about. Initially, it was tough. Complaints Department and daily struggling to keep customers’ satisfaction was a challenge. Selgros in Katowice, Poland was the place where my passion met the purpose for the first time. My easy adaptation, multi-skills capacities and flexibility were appreciated by my supervisors. After a couple of months I became a Manager of the Household Appliances Department. Selgros was guiding me on my meaningful career path.

Newborn Day: Things happen for a reason.

One day the Customer Department received an email in English and I helped in its translation. It was “That Big Day! My Day!” The destiny of my passion has reborn. I understood that I don’t belong to a region or a city. I wanted to speak to the whole world and exchanged experiences selling and promoting products and growing together. The Export Department in Selgros was my new I moved. I felt like being the right person, at the right place at the right time. Professional and international business relations promoting Polish products was my dream came true. My first customers from Slovakia, Latvia, Czech Republic, the UK and Italy were like a map. Understanding their unique needs of businesses was crucial. Every company has a specific challenges and opportunities. Identifying these areas was the first step toward success.

The Show Must Go On: From Seller to Buyer

My new chapter opened when I emigrated to the UK. It was in 2007 when Maritime Food Group was looking for an expert who knew everything about Polish products. They needed an experienced person who could select the best products and introduce them through Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, and Somerfield. For a couple of months I learnt that success should never be one-size-fits-all. It was essential to define what success looked like for each business. To have a clear picture of where a business stood and where it could improve.

Italy – the land of pasta, gelato and breathtaking views.

My journey to this beautiful country didn’t start off as smoothly as I had imagined. At the beginning it was like a black whole! I couldn’t understand many things. Why people do not take their seats at the end of the bus leaving more space for these who get on or why a bus driver never greets me with a simple “hello” or a smile when I say “good morning”??? Amidst the chaos and confusion I found myself diving headfirst into Italian culture. During my Italian course at the Ca’Foscari University I stumbled upon an ad. It brought some fresh air and happiness into my life. The ad called a person who knew English and another European language. With a newfound sense of purpose, I threw myself into the role of Country Manager in HostelsClub.com. Every day, I worked tirelessly to encourage backpackers, tourists to explore the world and discover the most amazing destinations. Being the Manager of Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, India I had to understand market trends and their rapid dynamism. Problem solving and decision-making in challenging situations. Identifying strengths and weaknesses to develop strategies for development. I realized that sometimes the best adventure come from unexpected beginnings.

Here I stand, no longer a stranger in what once felt unfamiliar. My heart brims with wanderlust, and my mind embraces new opportunities. While Italy may not have been flawless from the beginning, it has transformed into my second home, where the unforeseen is simply another facet of the journey.

To you, the reader of my tale, I extend my gratitude for being a part of my journey today!
